|"I have used many types of cloth diapers over the years with my three children and the Bummis Duo-Brite is definitely one of my favourites. The inserts snap in easily, are very absorbent, and stay in place. The diaper is quite trim and I haven't had any leaking issues. The Duo-Brite is one of my go-to diapers!" - Cindy (Toronto, Canada)|
See how it works...
Love a great AI2 system!
My son is 2 years old, 31 lbs and 36". He fits both with the rise snapped and the rise unsnapped. I prefer the rise snapped as I feel like the legs are snugger and less likely to leak. But he seems to be a little more comfortable with it unsnapped but will wear it either way. I'm a huge Ai2 fan! And bummis is a solid product. I'm always so impressed with the workmanship on these diapers. They were very easy to prep and clean. I also love the size range. Duo size systems are amazing because you really can get a great fit for a newborn, but then the next size up will last a long time. I can definitely see this being one of the longest lasting covers in my stash and working well into potty training! I also used this as a cover over flats and it worked splendidly. My only cons were that I felt like the front snap was a little awkward. I'm sure with consistent use I would get used to it. I also couldn't tell the 2 sides apart. So I felt like that kind of defeated the purpose of being able to snap either side facing up.
Love the Duo Brite!
I have been using cloth diapers on my 25lb, 19 month old daughter, since she was one month old. I have tried a variety of brands and styles, and was excited to have a chance to test the Bummis Duo Brite diaper and put it to the test. The Duo Brite has a wonderful and unique fit to its cover, which I really liked. Having a dual elastic around the legs really helps to prevent leakage, and it fits snugly and comfortably. It is also less bulky than some other cloth diapers on the market, making it easier for my daughter to play and run around in. The snap closure is easy and durable, making the diaper last through plenty of wear and washings, leaving it always looking like new, unlike Velcro which can get worn and dirty looking fast. I prewashed the liners four times? before usage for maximum absorbency. I really like the double sided feature of the insert allowing you to decide on a "stay dry" or cotton absorbency, which saves you from buying several different inserts. This way you can have the best of both worlds in one easy liner. I found both sides to be quite absorbent, but the stay dry seemed to be a little better absorbency for extended wear. I love how easy it is to change the inserts in the cover, just one quick snap and you're ready to go. They also eliminate having to carry around a large, bulky stack of diapers when traveling. This way, all you need to pack are a few liners. It's also more cost effective. Not needing to purchase as many covers, you can reuse the covers several times, only changing out the liners. Out of the several different brands of cloth diapers I have used, I really love the Duo Brite and would highly recommend this diaper system to any new parents. This diaper has a awesome fit, great absorbency and fun and cute prints.
Bummis Duo Brite
I never thought I'd be a fan of all-in-two systems, but this system made me think twice! I own 99% pocket diapers, but thought I'd give this system a try, just to see what I was missing out on. And might I say that for starters, I was missing out on far less diaper laundry! I tested this product on my super heavy wetting 27 lb 18 month old boy. What I loved about this system is that the cover can be reused when the diaper is just wet or lightly soiled. I could simply swap the insert out and give the cover a quick wipe. This was also very beneficial for going on outings. It meant less bulk in the diaper bag, and less to carry around. Though I would suggest to always bring an extra cover in case of a severe case where you couldn't salvage the cover. Because this product meant less baggage, it became my go-to diaper for outings. And also for the fact that this product can hold up for quite some time before having to worry about leaks. I love these inserts. My son is a very heavy wetter, and it was nice to have all the absorption without the 'bubble butt'. The insert allows you to chose from the cotton or stay dry side. I would generally always use the stay dry for his comfort. The tiny holes in the inserts wicked the pee away so fast, I never had to worry about leaking due to slow absorption. Also the the fit for my son was great, too. He doesn't sport thunderous thighs, and getting a tight fit around the legs can be tricky. But I had no gaps or issues with the Duo-Brite system. The snap down rise feature attributed to the nice fit. I also like where the snap for the insert is located, as it allowed for me I place extra absorbency below it as opposed to just laying ontop. This is a common problem with Ai2 systems, they don't seem I have the insert placed as far forward as possible which is crucial for boys! But the Duo-Brite nailed it. I worried the snap would come off due to the small piece of material that secures it, but it hasn't proved to be a problem. Overall, I don't have much to complain about regarding this system. I do recommend giving it a try! Trim, absorbent and practical. :)
Duo Brite Deluxe
I am a big fan of Bummis and already have used their prefolds on my daughter since birth. I was super excited to try out this new system, and have been using it for a few weeks. I REALLY like how you have the choice of organic cotton or a stay dry polyester side on the insert, depending on you and your babies preference. The Duo Brite Wrap is the best. It has two sizes and fits 8-35lbs, snaps, and has gussets on the legs (a real reason to love Bummis diapers). This protects against any leakages. I am also enjoying how the insert doesn't need any folding and snaps into the cover which makes changing a squirmy toddler much easier. I would recommend this diaper system to anyone, especially someone just starting out with cloth diapers as it very user friendly. Drys quickly, cover can be reused, and best of all, it is made locally.
Duo Brite AI2
The Duo Brite has been my first venture into AI2 diapers, I had mostly used pockets and the occasional fitted in the past. I've been very impressed by the Duo Brite diaper, in particular the inserts. They're easy to change and provide great absorption. The only issue I've run into the the system has been fit. My daughter is 16lbs, long but with chubby thighs. We tried the size one as it went up to 20lbs. But I feel that the size two would have provided better coverage. Overall very happy with the quality of both inserts and the cover. And will be buying the size 2 to grow with my little one.
Duo-Brite Deluxe System
I have been using the Duo-Brite Delux system for about a month. I just have to say that I have found my new favorite diapering system. From the extra leak guard in the cover to the ultra absorbent inserts, this diaper is a win. My son is a heavy wetter, but the inserts can hold so much! My favorite part is the natural fiber (cotton) sits against his bottom and keeps it dry! I would highly recommend this system to cloth diaper newbies and experts.
We are loving are Duo-Brite All-in-2! This is my first non one size diaper and I love the fit! My daughter even fell asleep the first time I put it on her, I was nervous, but we made it 6 hours with no leaks and she's a heavy wetter!

Duo Brite a hit!
I really like this cover/insert combo! It fits my little one great and I can use the cover with a variety of different inserts. It's somewhat trim, which is important to me. The insert it came with is really different. I like that I can choose stay dry or cotton on his skin. The shape is nice for great coverage. I like the attachment under the flap. The design of the insert makes it easy to wash and dry. Stays soft on his skin, no matter which side I choose. The center crease helps keep it from shifting once worn, which is a problem with super active toddlers. It's very absorbant, although my son has never been a super heavy wetter. I haven't tried it overnight on its own, but with something as a doubler it should make it through. Naptime it works great. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
I really love the new Duo Brite! I am a huge fan of the Super Brite covers, those are my favorite, however I understand those are being discontinued :( I like the options in the Duo Brite insert and being able to choose between the organic cotton or stay dry sides. I think this flexibility sets this diaper apart from other similar types of AI2 diapers. I also love being able to wipe out the cover and snap in another insert while being able to use the same cover. The cover fits my daughter well and I LOVE the gussets and the prints. I love the quality of Bummis. I've had some Super Brite covers since my daughter was born 5 years ago and they are still functional and being used on my third child. They are very well made, and so are the Duo Brites they may become my new favorite! They wash and dry easily, it would also be awesome if they came in a velcro option as well! These are definitely a superior product to others I've seen and tried, and they hold up very well. I wash mine every 2-3 days and they still look new.
Duo Brite Review
I have been cloth diapering my children for the past 5 years. I recently purchased the new Duo Brites in size 2 for my now 17 month old. These new diapers are comparable to a trifolded prefold insert but with a few differences. First of all, there is no folding necessary, the insert easily gets placed in the wrap as is. It's also designed to have a stay dry side and an organic cotton side, so you can choose what you want against baby's skin. The last difference is that it is stitched down the middle with open sides, for quick and easy washing and drying. What I like about the duo brite inserts: very trim fitting quick drying and they do not require fluffing in the dryer to stay soft (I always need an initial quick dry in the dryer for my prefolds to keep them soft before I hang dry them) they take up less space in the diaper bag just as absorbent as a prefold (no more no less) they fit in any wrap, not just the duo brites, and in fact I find the most perfect fit is in the now discontinued Super Lite! The duo brite wraps are one size, eliminating the need for 2 sizes (although the inserts are two sizes) Keep it up Bummis!
I have been using the Duo-Brite's for a few weeks now and I absolutely love them! They work really well (no leaks), are very easy to use and take up less space in my diaper bag than an all in one...great for being out and about! They are also super cute and fit nice and trim under my little one's clothes:) I will definitely be purchasing more of these!
