affordable and easy to use
We got a couple of prefolds to try, and found them very easy to use and affordable.
i've tried various diapers - high quality pockets, fitted, prefolds, all in ones - and the bummis prefolds are my favourites. they are so much more absorbent than the others and the all natural fibres do not give my baby any rashes. they wash up so easily and don't need to be stripped. bonus: they're really cute.
i never considered cloth diapers until i was recently given some information at a mom's group about how cloth diapering has changed. i am so glad i tried it because I LOVE BUMMIS!!! they are incredibly easy to use and make so much more sense than disposables. i am such a happy mommy - thanks bummis!
Best choice we've made!
Bummis are awesome! Everyone told us that we would regret cloth diapers: that our baby would always have diaper rash; that the diapers would leak; that we'd get fed up with the hassle of washing etc etc etc. They were all wrong! With Bummis, our baby doesn't get diaper rash; the diapers + covers do not leak (except a couple times when we didn't put them on right, but that's our fault); and they are SO easy to take care of: cold pre-wash, hot wash, dry. I am so glad that I chose to cloth diaper with Bummis pre-folds!
Best Diaper on the Market
I am constantly amazed by how fantastic bummis prefolds are, and since getting my first 6-pack these have quickly become my favourite diaper. There are many things I love about these diapers - how easy they are to use, how well they wash, their price, the fact that bummis is a Canadian company - but by far the best thing about these prefolds is how absorbent they are. My daughter is a very heavy wetter and I've tried every kind of diaper under the sun in an effort to keep leaks at bay and the only diapers that I've had consistent success with are bummis prefolds. They are so absorbent that they work better than any hemp or bamboo prefolds/fitteds I've tried - the bummis have NEVER leaked, even when they've been saturated completely from back to front. I recently tried the prefolds for overnight (stuffed into a pocket-fitted diaper or doubled up) and they contain my 18-month-old daughter's overnight torrent as well as or better than the bamboo fitted diapers i'd previously been using. When I started cloth diapering my daughter (at 8 months) i was advised to get bummis prefolds, but like an idiot I wasted my money on other diapers. If I had it all to do over, I would only have bummis prefolds and wraps!
I purchased three packages of 6 (infant size) to diaper my newborn. They worked great, were soft, and super absorbent!
I first started using the so called "fancy" Baby Kangas and Bum Geius but they are not very absorbant unless you use a bulk of inserts or doublers...I then tried some Bummis prefolds and they are the cats meow...They are super soft and absorbant...I use them along with Bummis Super Brite Covers and the yare awesome...

I love these prefolds. In my stash I have some Under the Nile prefolds, a plethora of Gerber prefolds both 4x8x4 and the slim organic ones, some green edged Indian prefolds, a few Bambino Mio prefolds and the Bummis by far take the cake (although the Bambino Mio ones are pretty great too!). After washing they become more and more absorbent and shrink a bit, but from beginning to end they are so soft!
I have been using the Bummis organic cotton prefolds since my daughter was born. She is now 10 months. I have also tried Gerber prefolds and a variety of AIO pockets. The Bummis prefolds are far superior to anything I have tried. I use the Bummis Super Whisper wraps with the prefolds. The combination contains urine and feces so much better than disposables. I will not even begin to compare the Gerbers (what a waste of money. I am embarrassed to even admit I tried them). I like the feel of the organic cotton over microfiber. I find microfiber irritates the skin even though it is not in direct contact with the skin. The Bummis prefolds wash up very nicely. They are easy to take care of. In fact, I am surprised how low maintenance they are. I am loaning my infant prefolds to a friend who is expecting in January. I am sure she will love them too. Because of the great quality, I will probably never have to buy cloth diapers again. I am planning on these lasting long enough to use with all my children and then pass down to my grandkids. ;) I have only bought starter kits for each size. That is all I need and I cloth diaper full time. 0CDN to diaper my child throughout her diapering days. You can't beat the price or the quality. Thank you Bummis.
