A new wrap and a new Bummis design. Use this wrap to create a 2-piece nappy that's as easy as any pocket or all-in-one on the market, AND at an amazing price!
The SUPER LITE design is fun, bright and VERY simple. The elastic around the legs and waist is extra wide and comfortable, and it's encased in soft, stretchy fabric with no binding! No binding, no leaking - no joke!
This cloth nappy staple is made of ultra-lightweight fabric that is soft and stretchy. The result is a wrap that offers basic protection and an amazing fit. The SUPER LITE was lovingly conceived for those frugal but oh-so-chic moms looking for a cloth nappy that is easy to afford, easy to use and easy on the eyes!
The SUPER LITE can be combined with any absorbent insert or fitted nappy to create an effective and economical 2-piece nappy. It’s wide enough to fit the chunkiest baby and the bulkiest nappy, but trim enough to adjust snugly on a busy and mobile toddler!
Our aim at Bummis is to get every baby into cloth nappies by making products that are affordable, loveable, and easy to use. The SUPER LITE is all of that and more!
As is true of all Bummis wraps, the SUPER LITE is made with careful attention to detail in our own wonderful factory in Montreal, so that we are assured of good quality and fair labour practices. The fabrics and components we produce with are all sourced in North America and are guaranteed lead, phthalate and BPA free.
The one we reached for first
We got one of these covers to use with the newborn prefolds, and this was the one that we reached for first. The belly-button cut-out on the newborn size was great (no folding down the top like the others) and it dried amazingly fast which ended up being very important with a small stash and massive pooper. The NB size fit our daughter well, and we used it from about 6 1/2 to 8 lbs.
After having bad luck with the fit and wicking with the super whisper wrap, we were given the super lites to try. I have to say that these are the best wraps we have used! I havent had a leak yet! They are super easy to clean and care for, the hook and loop is as good as the day we got them. My son was born 5 weeks early and had very skinny legs so we were trying to find a good fit, we didnt start using these until about 8 pounds but now he is 12 pounds and we have had a great fit the entire time. I am very impressed with this wrap and would recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to order the next size up and get more colors. Thank you Bummis!
My favorite cover EVER!!
This cover is amazing!! It's so trim but fits perfectly on my 17 month old chunker. I have every color and want to buy more!!! No leaks, great fit, amazing price! What more could a momma ask for??
Favorite Cover Thus Far
Got my diaper stash as a hand-me down from my mama (my youngest brother is now 3 ...a 20 year age difference...and still in diapers). She passed along everything she wasn't still using. I received Chinese prefolds in newborn and infant sizes as well as a wide array of newborn and small size covers. I really like the Bummis super snap cover so when it came time to order a couple new covers I thought I'd give this one a try. I ordered two in a size small and LOVED them! My husband who was a bit nervous about the whole cloth diaper thing really loved them too. PROS: --Very easy to get on/offsquirmy baby --Easy to care for (they dry quickly and the velcro tabs fold completely over so they don't get stuck on other things) --Very trim fit under clothes --GREAT at stopping leaks even without leg gussets --Great value for the price --True to size...fits well through advertised weight ranges CONS: The only one I can think of is that (as with every cover of a synthetic material I have tried) if I use it overnight the material inside does wick up some moisture and it develops a bit of an odor so I have to wash it after using it just once. I've since switched to using wool covers at night since they don't get smelly and I can use them several nights in a row. Otherwise I use about one cover a day...something to conciser when deciding how many to purchase. All in all I love this cover and am bummed when it gets close to wash time and I have to use a different type. We have had only one poop leak (and that was an epic explosion after about 3 days without). We have had a few wetting incidents but those due to my not ensuring the pre-fold was tucked in all the way around the legs. As it turns out my punkin grew too fast and I had to order the next size up when she outgrew the smalls and my baby brother hadn't finished with the mediums yet! I've now got my mom hooked on this cover too so we have pictures of my 14lb 3 month old and my 26 lb brother together wearing the same cover...Medium Bummis Super Lite.
Hands down, my favorite cover.
This cover has been, by far, the best cover for my newborn. I struggled finding a cover to fit her. I tried multiple different brands in preemie and newborn sizes, and everything was so bulky. She was 5lbs 9oz and 18inches at birth, and is only 6lbs 10oz and 21 3/4inches long now at 2 months old. My best cover for her was the Bummis super-brite and I thought for I would try the super-lite. I'm so glad I did. They fit her trim frame so well and work with my prefolds and flats of all different brands. The leg elastics are nice and wide, which seem more comfortable for her. They have never leaked to date.
I had high hopes for the Super Lite. We love the Whisper Wrap, but wanted something with a little more leg space. I purchased a Super Lite and my LO has had nothing but bad rash reactions to the material - on the stomach and around the legs (everywhere it comes in contact with her skin). I have washed it a few times, but the polyester is just nowhere near as soft as on the other bummi covers. I am very disappointed and just hope I can return it to my supplier.
Bummis Super Lite - by far the best cover!
My husband and I just had our first baby in March (2011) so are obviously new to diapering of any kind. I bought 5 different covers to test out with the intent of finding some we like and some we don't. My husband LOVES the Bummis Super Lite cover, I think it's great too, but my husband just think it is by far the best of all the covers. We love how simple it is and how soft the leg holes are. I think because the elastic that is used is thick it doesn't pinch our baby's skin. They are easy to wash out, hold everything in and dry quickly....what more could you want? My only issue is that Green Mountain is no longer carrying them, and they were so cheap : ( We are moving up to a medium and I am going to only order this cover from now on! Thank you!
LOVE these covers
My baby was born at 37 weeks and weighed 6 lbs 3 oz. All of the adjustable diaper covers were huge on her little behind. She has skinny legs so all of the gussets on her other covers were way too large. I bought one of these covers just in case and it ended up being perfect! I ordered 3 more in the newborn size and they're the only cover she wears. They're super trim, wipe clean very easily and take no time to line dry out of the washer. Great product!
I had the priveledge of being picked to test for Bummis and I received a SuperLite diaper in my testing package. I have 3 girls in diapers (yes 3!) and I am impressed with the preformance of this cover on all 3 but for different reasons on each. For my 6 month old I like the SuperLites easy adjustability. She is quite chubby weighing almost as much as her 2 older sisters. She has rolls on top of rols on her legs and many covers dig in and leave ugly red marks but not the SuperLite. For my 18 month old I like how thin it is, unlike most cloth diaper covers its a super thin shell, allowing you to easily stuff 2 prefolds or a prefold and doubler in there to help with super soakers. This is my go to cover for my 18 month old at bedtime. I can stuff 2 prefolds in without a whole lot of bulk and she doesn't leak out all over her jammies and bed at night. For my 2.5 yr old I like this cover because its so sleek and trim. She has the opposite problem as my 6 month old. She is 8" taller than my 6 month old but only weighs 2 lbs more. She is super tiny and its hard to find cloth diaper covers that fit snug enough in the waist and around the thighs at the same time. There are usually gaps that cause leaking but not with the SuperLite. Overall I am VERY impressed with the SuperLites preformances. If I had to complain about something, it would be the velcro. I am much more of a snaps kind of girl but with all the other featues it has going for it, not to mention the price, I am willing to overlook that. The SuperLite I have is plain white, I am so excited to see they decided to make them available in colors and can't wait to order a few for my girls.
